QUESTION about SCS3 using SERATO software.........do i need to use my serato box SL1? to use this controller or i can just use it with serato software? please let me know I'm about to pick this up for a more portable dj system

You always need to use your Serato hardware. Our SCS.3 controllers allow you to CONTROL SSL's features, but they don't activate SSL, VSL, Itch, etc.

also just to give you all a little input on SSL 2.0 Beta & the 3D
everything seems to be working fine in SSL 2.0 Beta for me but the issues stated above..

Would like to add that I am also still getting the same problems as were originally posted.

Managed to fix the loop problem by re-assigning the buttons to 1/8th and 1/6th.

I have also noticed that in EQ mode, the master gain slider doesn't work very smoothly at all. The individual sliders are fine but middle one is very jerky.

Also, in certain modes if the play button is pressed, it will stop the track completely and take the song back to the beginning. If i press play again, i have to hold it down and when i release play it stops the track again. Will try to expand on this.

2. Comment if it as good as a turntable for using it for the third deck with SL-3?
3. Is instant double available in SSL V2

hey nemonic, it would be nice if you would post a good BETA preset to test with the SSL V2 public beta coming out this week... I am relying on it to test the third deck (Hope instant double is still available in SSL v2).

We don't have an SSL 2 preset ready for testing yet. Once we get the software, we can develop towards it. But it won't take too long. I'm already putting together a list of features we need to support, and have been talking to Scott (our preset programmer) about how to implement them.

Would it be possible to map the FX control to the FX pages and do away with the Video SL feature? Or possibly move Video control to the EQ page?

I'd say there will be a lot more people using this unit with effects than with video.

Excited to see how it pans out. People are going crazy over the new Kontrol X1 but i think the 3D is a much more versatile unit! It's very under-rated for some reason...

We'll have an SSL2 preset available as soon as we get access to the software. More than likely it will branch SL presets, because like you said, many people will want effects control.

Now that SSL2 is in public beta, we can begin to develop towards it. We have another preset in front of the SSL2 preset, but I expect that we should have a preset out before SSL2 goes public.

dont know dont own a sl3 i only own a sl1
